Bantwal, Feb 18: A collision between a private bus and a car on Saturday morning at Mungaje in Kariyangala village resulted in injuries to the car driver, the bus conductor, and a female passenger.

The injured individuals include Honnaiah Poojary, the car driver, Srikant, the bus conductor, and Haida Cutinha, a woman passenger on the bus. Honnaiah Poojary is currently admitted as an inpatient, while the other two were discharged after receiving medical aid.

The incident occurred when the bus, en route to B C Road, collided with the car approaching from the opposite direction. Preliminary reports suggest that the accident was caused by the negligence of the car driver, leading to damage to the front portions of both vehicles.

Bantwal traffic police promptly arrived at the scene and registered a case related to the accident. Investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
