Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School organizes collection drive

Mangaluru, Feb 13: LCS Charity Mission, a collection drive was organized from February 5 to 9, on the occasion of silver jubilee finale programme and the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Lourdes Central School patroness. 

Embracing a legacy of empathy, LCS fosters compassion and understanding towards the underprivileged. The main aim of the collection drive was to inculcate the values of kindness, humanity and bringing happiness in others. 

Class assemblies were conducted highlighting the values of sharing, caring, sympathy, empathy, generosity, friendship and courtesy. 

Principal, Fr Robert D’Souza during the inaugural assembly guided and encouraged the students to join in the noble cause, LCS charity mission.

The students and staff of LCS brought a variety of groceries, stationary items, sanitary items and many more items to donate to the needy. 

The students actively participated in the charity mission with lots of love, care and enthusiasm. 

All items were collected systematically and were dispatched to different ashrams and old age homes in the city.

Overall, the LCS charity mission was a grand success that spreads the message, ‘Giving is the greatest act of grace’.
