Kaup: Tyres, batteries, discs worth Rs 98000 stolen from parked tipper truck

Kaup, Feb 13: Thieves targeted a tipper truck parked near the owner's residence adjacent to the Kamath petrol pump in Kaup during the night, making off with five tires, discs, and batteries.

Sakshaath Shetty, the owner of the tipper truck, had left the vehicle parked near his home. Late in the night on February 11, thieves stole tires, discs, and batteries valued at Rs 98,000.

The tipper had been driven from Padubidri to Pangala, where it was parked near the Pangala bridge. It was during this time that the thieves removed the aforementioned items. Using GPS, the owner was able to locate the tipper truck. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the tires, discs, and batteries had been stolen.

A report regarding the incident has been filed with the Padubidri police station.

    Jossey S waterfront.I dont think thieves are jobless .I am sure they are same persons who drive it or known one.Noone will doubt when own personal deal with tyres and Batteries..How come tipper was not kept under watch ?
