Mangaluru: Boralingaiah M B appointed as new IGP of western zone

Mangaluru, Feb 1: The state government has on Thursday, February 1, named Dr Boralingaiah M B as the new Inspector General of Police of western zone.

The western zone consists of Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts.

Boralingaiah, an IPS officer, who belongs to the 2008 batch, was the IGP of Southern Range Mysuru prior to this appointment.

Amith Singh has now been appointed as Boralingaiah's replacement in Mysuru.
