Mangaluru: Lokayukta raids office, residence of Mescom EE Shantakumar

Mangaluru, Jan 31: Lokayukta sleuths have conducted raids on the office and residence of Mescom executive engineer (EE) in Mangaluru, Shantakumar early in the morning on Wednesday January 31 following allegations of possessing assets beyond his known source of income.

Shantakumar is the executive engineer at Mescom Attavar division. His residence is situated at Shivaprasad Gold Apartment, Konchady. Lokayukta officials have been conducting inspections simultaneously at his office and residence since morning on Wednesday. The officials have also conducted raids at his Bengaluru residence.

Shantakumar has been working at Mangaluru for the last six years.

    Disgusting power utility services company and highly corrupt and inefficient workforce right from top to bottom; high time these ESCOMS are privatised on the lines of Mumbai to eliminate corruption and considerably enhance the quality of services from the present utterly unprofessional and sloppy workmanship and services!!
