Mangaluru, Jan 30: The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed district BJP president, Sathish Kumpala, took place at Adyar Garden on Tuesday, January 30, with the distinguished presence of State BJP president B Y Vijayendra.

Addressing the gathering, State BJP president BY Vijayendra said, "When I heard Sathish Kumpala's speech, I felt we made a district president who is so innocent and known for simplicity. We are all looking forward to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. For the past 5-6 months, the whole country and other countries as well are curious about the results in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. Eight months back during the elections, whether it was our mistake or people's mistake, or Congress misled people, which they were successful in, people taught a lesson to Congress.

Since I took over as State president, my father said that I should not sit at home for a single day and ensure that BJP will clean sweep in the upcoming elections. This was the advice of my father. Upcoming elections are important because of future perspective," said B Y Vijayendra.

"Our ultimate aim is to clean sweep in the state in upcoming elections and strengthen Narendra Modi's hand," said B Y Vijayendra.

Newly appointed district BJP president Sathish Kumpala said, "I congratulate Sudharshan Moodabidiri and his team for working tremendously in the last four years as BJP district president. In 1989, due to the support of Lokaiah Gatti, I joined as a booth secretary and today I have reached as district president of BJP. I had a desire to contest for MLA elections, which I did in 2023, and as a president, we will work to grab the Ullal constituency, which has been ruled by father and son for the long term.

I got a chance to work in Zilla Panchayath, which was a good experience. Earlier, I thought my political and public life came to an end, but an RSS leader held my hand and gave the support I needed. As district president, I can't justify everyone, but we can work together for the upcoming Lok Sabha election candidate and ensure victory, which will be our contribution to the state president from the district."

Outgoing district president Sudharshan Moodabidiri thanked each and everyone for constant support in the four years as district BJP president and am very satisfied with my sincere work that has taken BJP party forward with the help of leaders and representatives.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "I congratulate Sathish Kumpala for taking up the charge of district BJP president. Sathish Kumpala was a party representative who worked relentlessly at the ground level, who also contested panchayath and MLA elections today he is taken up the charge of district BJP president and we have faith that under him BJP will win forthcoming Lok Sabha elections."

"In the last four years, the district BJP has performed really well under past president Sudharshan Moodabidiri by grabbing Taluk Panchayath, Zilla Panchayath, and six seats in MLA elections. Our country has seen a complete transformation; under Modi, Ram Mandir was built, the whole world is looking towards our country," said Nalin Kumar Kateel.

"Congress has once again started implementing anti-Hindu policies in the state as atrocities against Hindu communities are being made. Hindu activists are externed; the goonda act is being imposed. In Mandya, Hanuman flag was taken down, and the curse of Hanuman will hit Siddarammaih for this act," he added.

"We are confident that under Vijayendra we will clean sweep in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and Narendra Modi will become prime minister once again," said Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Opposition leader R Ashok said, "Our country has turned Rama Maya after Ram Mandir inauguration, which shows the whole country wants Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. In Mandya, the 108 feet pole was not built overnight; it was constructed after the majority of them in the gram panchayath agreed to construct it. Congress has insulted the national flag as there is a certain timing to hoist the national flag, but Congress has hoisted the national flag at 3 pm by taking out the Hanuman flag. Congress leaders say Ram exists in Chief Minister's name Siddarammaih; it's not enough to have Ram in the name, but it should be in the heart, but in their heart Tippu's name exists. Our actual star campaigner is Rahul Gandhi, wherever he steps Congress will face defeat, and a huge gain for BJP. When BJP cleans sweep in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the state government will collapse within a month."

Former deputy chief minister Ashwath Narayan, outgoing district BJP president Sudharshan Moodabidiri MLC Prathap Simha Nayak, Kota Srinivas Poojary, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Bharath Y Shetty, Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja, Sullia MLA Bhageerathi Murulya, Moodabidiri MLA Umanath Kotian, Mayor Sudheer Shetty Kannur, BJP state secretary Capt Brijesh Chowta, and others were present.

District BJP general secretary Ramdas Bantwal welcomed the gathering.
