Udupi, Jan 28: In a shocking incident, a second-year PUC student was subjected to a vicious assault by his classmates and others, resulting in a case being filed with the Udupi city police.

Pratheek (17), a student at Vidya Coaching Center in Brahmavar, became a target of hostility from his classmate Suhas, who falsely accused him of stealing a second-hand bike that Pratheek had recently purchased. The simmering jealousy led to a phone call on the evening of January 28, where Suhas and another individual, Tarun, verbally abused Pratheek.

On January 29, Suhas called Pratheek to MGM ground at around 12:15 pm. Upon arrival, Pratheek was confronted by Suhas, Monish, Tarun, and two unidentified individuals who proceeded to verbally abuse, physically assault, and threaten him. In a shocking turn of events, Tarun attempted murder by stabbing Pratheek in the stomach and left hip.

The incident has prompted the registration of a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 143, 147, 148, 323, 324, 504, 506, 307, and 149, at the Udupi city police station. Investigations are underway to apprehend the culprits involved in this heinous act.

OMG. I can imagine emotional pain of parents. Not only victim even parents of culprits . Only way to stop such crimes spectators should intervene and stop them. In gulf country i have seen if there is a small accident both indian drivers come out and fight. Here locals stop their cars and make both the drivers to stop fighting and force them to go away. If arabs meet with an accident they come out and shake hands. Only one solution spectaorors should stop them. I have also seen spectators asking the fighters "nana rudd pad maraya".
