Kundapur, Jan 1: A masked gang attempted to break into a jewelry shop located in Shanubhogue Complex on NH 66 near Thekkatte late on Friday night. The incident was captured on CCTV, although no official complaint has been filed so far.

This comes on the heels of a recent attempted theft at Meenakshi furniture showroom, a godown, and a tailoring shop in Samruddhi Complex near Thekkatte Canara Bank on December 21. The latest attempt to break into a jewellery shop has raised concerns among shop owners. Despite the incident going viral on social media, the jewellery shop owner has not expressed willingness to register a complaint with the police.

Dr. Arun K, SP of Udupi stated, “We currently lack information regarding the attempted theft at two locations in Thekkatte. Following verification, appropriate action will be taken.”
