Mumbai, Sep 9:
The ‘Mount Mary Fair’ will begin at Mount Mary pilgrimage Centre, Bandra (West), on Sunday September 11.  The pilgrimage centre has a history of over 400 years and is flocked by pilgrims of diverse religions and cultures from across the country and abroad.

Worship of the Mother of Nativity began at the Centre in 1566, and was extended to Goa and coastal Karnataka by Catholics who celebrated it as ‘Monti Fest’.

Mother Mary will be worshiped at the Centre for nine days of Novenas and special prayers in preparation for the grand feast on Sunday September 18. The preparations for the feast will commence on the Sunday that follows the feast of Nativity of Mary.
