Kasargod, Dec 22: Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Centre (A unit of Snehalaya Charitable Trust), a prominent institution dedicated to providing support and care to individuals with mental health issues, spread holiday cheer during its vibrant Christmas celebrations held on Thursday December 21. The center resonated with joy and festive spirit as residents and staff participated in various colourful activities and heart-warming festivities.

Amid a backdrop of cheerful decorations and twinkling lights, the residents of Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center were treated to a delightful day packed with festive events. The celebrations began with an enchanting Christmas skit performance led by talented staffs and residents, beautifully capturing the essence of the season.

Team GG 100 is a group of talented musicians and singers who have managed to capture the essence of Christmas through their beautiful Christmas carols. Their renditions have become a staple in many households during the holiday season, with their angelic voices and heartfelt performances spreading joy to all who listen.

One cannot help but be moved by the heartfelt lyrics and enchanting melodies crafted by Team GG 100. They perfectly captured the spirit of Christmas, reminding all of the importance of love, family, and togetherness during this special time of the year. Listening to their carols created a cosy and magical atmosphere, as if the listeners were transported to a winter wonderland where dreams come true.

Similarly, Urban Groove also contributed to the festive celebrations with their energetic and captivating dance performances. Their dances were a fusion of different genres, incorporating elements of hip-hop, contemporary, and jazz to create a unique and exciting experience for the audience.

Urban Groove's dances perfectly complemented the Christmas spirit, as they exuded joy, enthusiasm, and limitless energy. Their choreography told a story, conveying the excitement and anticipation that comes with the holiday season. Br Joseph Crasta, the director of Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center, highlighted the importance of such celebrations in the lives of residents. He said, "Christmas festivities provide an opportunity to strengthen the emotional well-being of our residents, helping them rebuild their lives with renewed hope. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the joy on their faces and feel the spirit of Christmas."

The guests of honour were Gean Lavina Monterio, president of Manjeshwar gram panchayat, Stany Bela (production director, Daijiworld TV), Fr Cyril D’Souza (chaplain of Snehalaya), Stany Fernandes and Vidya Fernandes, Bahrain, Vincent Jerome D’Silva and Sylvia Rita D’Silva, Denzil Monis and Marita Monis, Kuwait.
