Mumbai, Dec 12: Bunts Sangha Ahmedabad (R) Gujarat celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Senate Hall of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, here on Sunday afternoon.
BSA president Nitesh S Shetty Shirvakodu presided over the function, Bunts Sangh Bengaluru founder and president Muralidhara Hegde was the chief guest and started the ceremony by lighting the lamp. Tulu Sangh Baroda president Shashidhar B Shetty, chairman Higher Education Committee of Bunts Sangh Mumbai Adarsh B Shetty, Mulund Bunts former president Dr Satyaprakash Shetty, Tulu Sangh Ankleshwar president Shankar K Shetty, Steelstrong Valves chairman Ramesh Shetty, Shiva Caterers owner Shivaram B Shetty Surat, Tulunada ISIRI Vapi president Balakrishna S Shetty, businessmen and other dignitaries were present as guests of honour.
BSA founder president Sanjiva Shetty Ajekar (with wife Jayalaxmi Shetty including family members) and former president Devadatta Shetty (with wife Kusuma Shetty including family members) who worked as pillars of power for nearly three decades were honoured and felicitated with the BSA lifetime achievement award.
In the presence of many members, Muralidhara Hegde released the 'BSA Digital Diary' prepared under the editorship of Disha Nitesh Shetty.
On this occasion Ramachandra V Shetty, Ravinath Shetty Surat, Ajith Shetty Ankleshwar, Sukesh Shetty, Ganesh Shetty, Rajesh Shetty, Ashwini Shetty Vapi was present as special invitees. BSA vice presidents Raviraj M Shetty and Shakuntala I Shetty, secretary Kiran Shetty, treasurer Prashant Nak, joint secretary Santosh Shetty, joint treasurer Deviprasad D Shetty, joint secretary Ravindra K Shetty, former president Appu P Shetty, managing committee members Suresh N Shetty, Appu A Shetty, Vasantakumar Shetty, Sudarshan D Shetty, Prashant S Shetty, Ashok L Shetty, Prakash B Shetty, Saroja S Shetty, Suhas B Shetty, Dinesh Shetty, Suresh Shetty, Praveen Shetty, Jagannath Shetty, special invitee Purushottama Shetty, Jayaram P Shetty were present.
Talented children, women and members of the association presented entertainment and cultural programmes, Sandeep Shetty Rayi and troupe from Moodbidri performed Kusalda Kurlari programme which included Tulu comedy, farces.
Sushmita Praveen Shetty sang the prayer song, president Nitesh S Shetty welcomed and felicitated the dignitaries present. The office bearers honored the guests with floral mementos and bouquets. Host and programmer of Namma TV, Naveen Kumar Shetty Edmemar introduced the guests and awardees and compered the programme. Executive member Sudarshan D Shetty gave vote of thanks. The anniversary concluded with the national anthem.
