Mangaluru: Some parts of coastal region receive good rainfall

Mangaluru, Dec 10: Heavy rains lashed taluks of Sullia, Kadaba, Puttur and Karkala in Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday in the evening.

Kollamogru, Kombaru, Panjikallu, Bellare, Sampya, Panja, Puttur, Balnadu, Keyyur, Bettampady, Kadirudyavara and Bajagoli also received good rainfall.

According to the forecast by the Indian Meteorological department, there is a likelihood of some parts of Dakshina Kannada district getting moderate rainfall during the next two days.

 

Throughout the district of Dakshina Kannada including Mangaluru hot weather prevailed during the day on Saturday. Mangaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 32.7 deg C and a minimum temperature of 24.9 deg C on Saturday.

    To reveal the fact; there was very heavy thunder and lightning with very little drizzle;; this skimpish drizzle has given rise to extreme heat wave and humidity conditions during the day, which is very bad for health, especially the sick and old! Be well hydrated while replenishing lost electrolytes to prevent heat stroke and other related issues 🙏🙏

    Even the almighty is pleased with the rule of just and honest CM Mummadi Nalvadi Aidu madi Sidda Devaraya...otherwise rain in December was unheard of..Jai Congress from Nehru to the baby of Priyanka....

    Good relief from humidity. Rains in the night give good natural cooling and curing for under construction sites. Water level will also increase if rains are for longer than 30 minutes. This will decrease the tension for Authorities regarding drinking water availability in coming months. God is good. We just need to mend our ways and keep our hearts clean as Christmas approaches. God bless us all 🙏
