Udupi, Dec 9: Udupi district level head teachers meeting was held on December 4 at SMS Samudaya Bhavana. The programme was organized in joint aegis of Udupi zilla panchayat, school education department deputy director office, and SMS PU College, Brahmavar.
Udupi deputy commissioner Dr Vidyakumari inaugurated the programme. The meeting was presided over by M C Mathai, correspondent of OSC Educational Society. In his opening speech, the district commissioner gave advice and guidance to all the head teachers to work hard for Udupi district to get first place in the SSLC result and emphasized the crucial role of education in shaping the future of the district. Dr Arun Kumar, police superintendent was another chief guest for the programme. He advised to give priority to safety programmes in schools and create a safe learning environment and also instructed all head teachers to keep children away from drugs. Also, zilla panchayat CEO Prasanna H was also present as the chief guest of the programme. He advised to go door to door and monitor the progress of children to increase their SSLC results. His remarks highlighted the goals of promoting community engagement for student development.
District Deputy director Ganapathy K and education officers of different sectors and Associate Teachers Association president and High School Head Teachers Association president Chandrashekhar Shetty, Associate Teachers Association president Prabhakar Shetty, Education Officers Association secretary Chandra Naik, SSLC Examination District nodal officer Balakrishna Shetty and Jaysheel Shetty, district president of Institutions Teachers' Association were present in the meeting. The welcome address was delivered by Shabana Anjum, field education officer, Brahmavar and Gracie Olivera, head teacher of the school proposed the vote of thanks and the programme was compered by Avinash Shetty, associate teacher of the school.
