Mangaluru: Injured person succumbs in rashly driven truck mishap at Mulki

Mangaluru, Dec 9: Scooter rider Sangappa Madivalappa (57), who was grievously injured in the mishap that occurred on Thursday at Mulki due to the rash and negligent driving of a truck driver, succumbed to injuries on Friday at a private hospital in Mukka.

Sangappa was working as watchman at the Nature Temple residential complex opposite Bappanadu temple from many years and was liked by all the residents.

Sangappa was going to drop his daughter to college on scooter when the truck hit his scooter from behind and knocked him down. Sangappa was in ICU since Thursday and breathed his last on Friday.

Sangappa’s daughter escaped with minor injuries. The mortal remains of Sangappa were sent to his native place Badiyal in Yadagir after post-mortem.

    It's really sad to hear one more death. May his soul rest in peace. It has to be observed that every month atleast one death is this zone us regular. Several requests to the transport authority, Municipality as well as NHAi are in vain. Atleast the speed limit in this zone should be 30 km or less which is 80 right now. The political pressure and favouritism didn't even permit for a flyover or a proper service road hear. A massive protest and blockage is imminent or it will be danger zone for ever...

    poor fellow..lost his life for no reason...unscientific design of road at Mulky...also downward slope very dangerous....the ghatta people always sit on roadside chewing paan and gossiping
