MAHE and Federation University present the 4th International Conference

Ballarat, Dec 6: The department of mechanical and industrial engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology (MAHE), in collaboration with Federation University, Australia and the Asset Management Council, Australia, proudly announces the 4th international conference on ‘Maintenance and Intelligent Asset Management (ICMIAM-2023).’ This prestigious event will take place on December 6 and 7 at the historic 153-year-old School of Mines, Ballarat campus of Federation University.

The conference will commence with an inaugural ceremony on December 6, graced by the presence of Dr Sushil Kumar, consul general of India in Melbourne, Toby Horstead, National Chair of the Asset Management Council, Australia, Prof Iven Mareels, executive dean at Federation University, Prof Syed Islam, DVC of Federation University, associate professor Gopinath Chattopadhyay, Federation University and conference chair, and Prof Raghuvir Pai, president of the Asset Management Society India and professor at MIT Manipal.

Supported by the City Council Ballarat, IEEE (Victoria section), Lulea Technological University, Sweden, University of Huddersfield, UK, University of Johannesburg, South Africa, Chitkara University, India, and the Asset Management Society India, the conference is a testament to international collaboration. The esteemed sponsors include Energy Australia, Cargill Australia, Voltex, Power Engineers, Intertech, and Texas A and M University.

A highlight of the conference will be keynote addresses from Dr Anne Gibbs, CEO of the Asset Management Council, Australia, Dr Gopinath Chattopadhyay, post graduate programme coordinator at Federation University, Australia, Dr Alok Verma, Ray Ferrari professor at Old Dominion University, USA, and Dr John Hardwick, executive director Sydney, Roads and Maritime Services, NSW, Australia.

ICMIAM-2023 will feature ninety technical papers, presented in 10 parallel sessions. These sessions will cover diverse areas such as asset management, data science, asset life cycle management, water audit and analysis, tribology, and maintenance. The conference will host delegates from India, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Hong Kong, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, and the USA, reflecting its global reach and significance.

An essential element of the conference is the blessings by revered Swamiji, Suhitananda, vice president of the Shri Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, adding a spiritual dimension to this gathering of minds.
