Udupi: Green Park Central School Annual Day celebration held

Udupi, (RBI) Dec 5: The Annual Day celebration of Green Park Central School, Hiriadka was held on the November 24 and 25. On November 24, distinguished personalities Fr Charles Menezes, parish priest, Mother of sorrows Church, Udupi, Brig. (Dr) Surjith Singh Pabla, chairman, Manipal Skill Development Centre,Manipal, Ashok Kmath, BEO, Udupi, Naresh Kumar Y, regional head of Union Bank of India, Kuilady Suresh Nayak, district president, BJP Udupi Dist, Jayanthi Shetty, president of Hiriadka Grama Panchayat, Harish Salian, vice president of Hiriadka Grama Panchayat, Dr Chethan Upadhyaya, Prana Vaidhya Foundation, Bengaluru, Alumni GPCS, Hiriadka graced the occasion as chief guests and guests of honour and distributed the prizes and addressed the large gathering of students and parents. Cultural programmes were presented by the students of primary school section.

On November 25, the function was graced by the presence of Fr Lenson Lawrence Lobo, administrator, Nirmala English Medium School, Brahmavar, K Ganapathy, DDPI, Udupi, Dr Vincent Alva, principal, Milagres College, Kallianpur, Adith S Shetty, engineering manager in Akamai Technologies, Bengaluru, Alumni GPCS, Hiriadka.

They distributed the prizes, addressed the gathering and appreciated the activities of the school. The school principal Dr Sandhya Shetty presented the report of school activities. The school magazine Spectrum - 2023 was released on the occasion. The students of Grade 5 to Grade 10 performed cultural programe. Vice principal Jayashree Tendulkar, school administrator Shekar Gujjarbettu, coordinators Usha Rao, Geetha Bhat and Shashikala Rajavarma, office manager Amitha R, Hegde, accountant Savitha, all the teaching & non teaching staffs, parents and students present on the occasion. Students were honoured for their outstanding performance in academics. The programme were anchored by the students of class 10.
