Udupi: Shirva St Mary’s College’s 1986-87 batch holds grand reunion

Udupi, Dec 1: The 1986/87 batch of St Mary’s College, Shirva held its reunion on November 19 at Fortune Valley View Hotel, Manipal under the leadership of banker Balakrishna and local community leader Anwar Saheb.

The gathering of former students was blessed and wished by well-known retired professors Dr Ganesh Bhatt and Ln Dr Nerry Carneleo and current principal of the institution Dr Herald Monis. The former students paid their gratitude towards them with flowers and expressed their humbleness and love towards their alma mater.

The alumni came all the way from the United States, Middle East and many states of India.

Alumni restaurateur Santosh Shetty in his short speech requested the fellow gatherers to not only contribute towards their alma mater but also contribute towards the society where they grew up.

Entrepreneur Sheela Shetty and Precilla Mendonca rendered vote of thanks.

    Everyone considers the school years as the best period of their lives.They were the guys we grew up playing,bunking and watching back to back movies.The list is endless.Those days are gone for ever.
