Mysuru, Nov 30 (IANS): A man in Karnataka's Mysuru district killed his son over the latter's mobile addiction, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place in Mysuru city's Bannimantap locality.

The deceased has been identified as Umaiz and the police have arrested his father, Aslam Pasha, in connection to the crime.

According to the police, the victim was addicted to his mobile phone and often quarrelled with father when he objected.

On Wednesday amid a heated argument between the father and son, the accused grabbed a knife and stabbed his son.

Observer Mangalore ,No respect ?That means father should kill his son because son is addict to mobile phone? Now what has he from that.?Why he bought in the first place a phone? One should think ,now its children are very interested to learn it ,we not.Its their future.Once they learn ,later will change but strict rules should be followed alo by parents.Give them mobile for certain time ,take back when they have to learn or other times sleep etc.Just we too have to learn with it.Can he bring back his son now.?Of course sometimes self parents too are not lesser than children.Child is neglected but talk continuesly .work is neglected ,but phones. We too are not better.May the soul of child rest in peace. One should compromise .

Just last week on our visit to Mlr we had a near miss with a young man crossing a 6 lane express highway browsing his phone. Our car skidded to a halt leaving us dazed & the man walked off crossing the other part of the highway again browsing his phone as if nothing had happened. Such is the situation of gadgets taking over minds drifting them away from religion culture society and right way of life

This is what you do to others right? First threaten with dire consequences & then stab? Peace will not prevail at home or community unless we first learn to sacrifice, this applies to every community or religion. There is a lot of difference in dying for our religion & killing others for our religion.
