Kundapur: Three arrested for stealing BSNL tower batteries

Kundapur, Nov 30: Police arrested three people in connection with the theft of six used batteries that were kept inside the BSNL tower building at Golikatte Gudde in Shankaranarayana village.

The arrested accused are identified as Krishna (45) from Udyavar, and Badruddin (38) and Usman (38) from Bantwal. The thieves were arrested within 24 hours of reporting of the theft.

The cops confiscated goods worth Rs 4.6 lac including a pick-up vehicle that was used for the theft. Pradeep Ajri, technician of PTPL company had registered case with police on November 27 in this regard.

Shankaranarayana Police station PSI Nasir Hussain and personnel were involved in the operation.

    In the U.S. in such minor crimes, some judges award some interesting punishment to the criminals. They don't send them to the penitentiaries (jails) but impose some socially responsible duties related to the crimes that they have committed

    USA like country's examples can never be extrapolated to third world countries; this has the highest population in the world, more than half of which are BPL😳. Remember last time a one km 🚈 track was stolen in a very backward state?
