Mumbai: Preparatory Meeting Discusses ‘Tulunadu Utsav’ to be Held on Sep 24

Mumbai, Sep 3: A preparatory meeting was held at Billava Bhavan, Santa Cruz (East), recently by different community organizations of undivided Dakshina Kannada to discuss ‘Tulunadu Utsav’, daylong celebrations of Tulunadu cultural extravaganza at Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East), on Saturday September 24.

Billavar Association president Jaya C Suvarna, vice-president BJP leader L V Amin, Bunts Sangh president Harish Shetty, Mogaveer Vyavastapana Mandali president Ajit M Suvarna, different community leaders Dharmapal U Devadiga, Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, Balakrishna P Bhandary, Tonse Vijay Kumar Shetty, Hiriyadka Mohandas, Vishvanat U Devadiga, S K Sriyan, Sudhakar Ucchil, Narayan R Mendon, Rons Bantwal, Mundkoor Surendra Salian, Nitte Damodar Acharya, K P Chandayya Acharya, P M Salian, Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor, Antony Sequeira, Vincent Mathias, Sanjeev K Salian, Jyoti K Suvarna, and Mahesh Karkala were present on the occasion.

Karnataka chief minister D V Sadanand Gowda will attend Tulunadu Utsav on Saturday September 24.

Tulunadu Utsav committee office-bearers:
Billavar Association president Jaya C Suvarna (president), Bunts Sangh president Aikala Harish Shetty (vice-president), L V Amin (chief convener), Ajit G Suvarna, Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, Henry Lobo and lawyer B Moideen Mundkoor (vice-presidents), Dharmapal U Devadiga, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Nityanand D Kotian, Rons Bantwal, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, Tonse Sanjeev Poojary, Dayasagar Chowta and Mahesh Karkala (organizing secretaries).

Tulu–Kannadiga Associations including Mogaveer Vyavastapana Mandali, Bunts Sangh, Billavar Association, BSKB Association, Devadiga Sangh, Kulala Sangh, Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sapalya Seva Sangh, Bhandary Seva Sangh, Shafi Welfare Association, Karnataka Vishwakarma Association, Ganiga Samaj, Thiya Samaj, Heggade Seva Sangh, and Rajaka Sangh will contribute for the programme.

L V Amin, Jaya C Suvarna and Aikala Harish Shetty urged the Tulu–Kannadigas to attend the programme in large numbers.

Nityanand D Kotian welcomed the gathering.  L V Amin delivered the introductory address while Vijay Kumar Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
