Mangaluru: 43-year-old burned to death in hotel lodge room

Mangaluru, Nov 23: A fire broke out in a hotel lodge at Kankanady here burning a man to death.

The deceased is identified as Yashraj S Suvarna (43). He was a resident of Bikarnakatte.

The tragic incident took place in a room on the second floor of the hotel late night on Wednesday November 22.

Police sources informed that Yashraj had checked-in into the lodge on November 15. He was staying alone. On Wednesday night, while he was alone in his room after having dinner, smoke was observed coming from his room door in the midnight. Fire personnel arrived on the scene and opened the door (locked from inside) and found the victim dead.

Yashraj is survived by mother and wife.

A case is registered and investigation has been taken up.
