Mangaluru: One loses life after speeding tipper rams into two motorcycles

Mangaluru, Nov 22: A motorcycle rider was killed in a gruesome collision between a tipper truck and two motorcycles near Gurpur pre-university college, NH 169 on Tuesday November 21.

The deceased is identified as D S Rahim (55) from Addoor.

The tipper rammed into two motorcycles on the way to Addoor. Rahim suffered serious head injuries and succumbed while being shifted to the hospital.

Rahim was dealing with building construction materials and was a member of Addoor’s Sahara English medium school management committee. He was the former treasurer of Kanjila Kodi Badrul Huda Juma Masjid and the founder member of Muslim Welfare Association.

Rahim has left behind his wife, three sons and two daughters.

    We have a menace on our rural roads called tippers... There is no control on them... Commonly northeastern uneducated drivers are employed... They drive as if they are flying military aircrafts... This type of news will flash across the media every now and then... Now bus drivers are their deputies... RIP to the departed soul...

    These tipper drivers very rashly. They drive dangerously than private bus drivers without caring anyone's lives. Should fit speed governor on tippers not to speed above 60kmph
