There are comments about unscientific bus stops, corrupt administration, bad roads and third world country. They are all very much true , not just for this incident but in general. This news is not very clear for me to get my head around. Prajwal was thrown onto the road when a private bus stopped to disembark passengers at the bus stop while heading towards Mangaluru. He was struck by a motorcycle coming from behind. It is not clear whether was he alighting from the bus or he was riding a motorcycle. If he is alighting from the bus, then a motorcycle hit him, he can't be thrown out to the right side of the road. If he is riding a motorcycle and another motorcycle hit him from behind, then this bus has nothing to do with this accident (theoretically). As per news this happened near the bus stand of Padubidre town on National Highway 66. Though it is national highway, if it is bear a bus stop, the tanker should moving in a slow pace, even though you cant stop a tanker if someone just thrown in front of it even if it is not speeding. This would be very unfortunate.

RIP! While the country has gained the dubious distinction of having the most road fatalities in the world, DK is vying for the numero Uno position in accidental deaths in the country....worst than the third world...

Unscientific bus stops are to be blamed but corrupt administration and local politicians least bothered.
