Jebel Ali, UAE, Aug 22: Monthi Fest - JAKC (Jebel Ali Assisi Konkani Community), celebrating “Monthi Fest” (Nativity of the Blessed Mother Mary) on 8th September 2011 at 8:00 PM in the St. Francis of Assisi Church, Jebel Ali with Mass in Konkani offered by Rev. Fr. Lester Dsilva, Redemptory priest. Children will offer “Showers of flowers” to the Mother Mary on her birthday by singing the hymn “Moriake Hogolsian”.  JAKC will provide flowers and plates to all children.  JAKC will also distribute blessed Paddy after the Mass.  Congregation will join in the basement for the Scrumptious buffet vegetarian dinner in Mangalorean cuisine  with sweet vorne.
 
Novena - In preparation for the Monthi Fest a 9 day novena will start from 30th August at 7.30PM.  Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday the novena will be held in the main Church.  Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday the novena will be at the hall no.2.
 
Konkani Retreat – to prepare spiritually for the Monthi Fest there will be a 3 day Konkani Retreat preached by Rev. Fr. Lester Dsilva,  Redemptory priest, starting from 5th September to 7th September at 8PM in the main Church Hall.
 
All are invited for the Retreat, Novena and the Monthi Fest.  Please inform your family and friends.
