Kuwait: Indian Muslim Welfare Association Holds 'Welcome Ramadan' Programme

Kuwait, Aug 19: Indian Muslim Welfare Association (IMWA) held its annual 'Welcome Ramadan' programme recently at Masjid Al Kabir.

The Indian ambassador to Kuwait Satish Mehta was the chief guest. He spoke on the significance of Ramadan and appreciated IMWA for holding such a meaningful event.

Eminent scholar and orator Mirza Yawar Baig who was invited by IMWA from India emphasized that Muslims should cultivate and practice good habits and do good deeds throughout the year and should not confine them to the month of Ramadan only.

The function was attended by a large number of people. Mohammed Manshauddin, IMWA president and convenor of the event thanked the Indian ambassador, the  main speaker Mirza Yawar Baig and all the IMWA members and non-members who attended the event.
