UAE, a Good Place to Live, says Daily

Abu Dhabi, Aug 10 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) now attracts more young migrants than other countries like the US, Australia and Switzerland, a daily said Wednesday.

"This is not really a surprise. This country's rich resources and openness, in terms of ideas and market, have attracted scholars, media and professional practitioners who left their own countries due to restrictions," The National daily wrote in its editorial.

But there is, of course, more to this country than "big bucks". It is one of the safest countries in the world, another factor that attracts families to the UAE to work and bring up their children, it said.

Cultural diversity also makes this country a top choice for many people.

Everyone can find a community within the UAE's society. The fact that the UAE is a "salad bowl, rather than a melting pot", makes it the favourite of many, especially from the Middle East and Asia.

"In a world beset with financial problems, a booming UAE will continue to be a destination for those who wish to make a better life for themselves and their families", the paper said.
