Mumbai, Aug 6: The metro-based Konkani Basha Mandal Maharashtra will be organizing ‘Konkani Day 2011’ celebrations at Dr Vishveshvarayya Memorial Auditorium, Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), on Wednesday August 31 at 6.30 pm.
The entertainment programme includes three skits—‘Korea Moga Patlean Dev Asta’, directed by Tony Martins, ‘Garacho Divo’ directed by Rita Albuquerque, and ‘Sri Krishna Parijata’ directed by Poornima G Rao, besides songs and dances by well-known artiste Kenny.
‘Pratiba Puraskar – 2011’ will be distributed during the programme.
The programme will be followed by dinner. All Konkani lovers are invited to attend the function and make it a grand success, stated the media release issued by Lawrence D’Souza Kamani, general secretary, Konkani Basha Mandal Maharastra.
