Peter Haas is New US Consul-general in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 1 (IANS): Peter Haas, an economist by training, took over as the new consul-general of the US consulate in Mumbai Monday, an official said.

He replaces Paul Folmsbee, who has been posted to Afghanistan.

Prior to Mumbai, Haas was the economic affairs counsellor at the US embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.

"My family and I are very excited about coming to Mumbai. I look forward to meeting people across our consular district to advance the US-India strategic partnership at all levels," Haas said shortly after taking over his new assignment.

Based in Mumbai, Haas will have charge of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

He has earlier held diplomatic positions in London, Rabat, Port-au-Prince and Berlin, and has worked in Washington.

Haas is accompanied here by his wife and two sons.

    Am Mohammed Taqee ansari S/O Mohammed Osman ,Date of Birth 15/12/1971 and passport number H7278756,
    I had previously applied earlier on , 2010 for visa through an agent. Unfortunately this agent misguided me for the documents by misrepresenting my case file to the US Consulate Hyderabad and did a fraud.

    and again am apply visiting visa consulate visa officer told me am not eligible to apply and the give me paper which mention under section 212(a)(6)(C)
    and genius person and owner of reputed Mak college of pharmacy and collaboration Biotechnia pharmaceutics company,again we got invitation letter USA pharmacy company can i eligible to apply again ,OR how can file against this section please help me ,
    Since then, I have already visited Malaysia, France, and Australia.and Germany and Italy,and we have valid visa for Mexico and Australia now again we got invitation to attend pharmaceutics conference ,

    Resp.sir we are in imitation jewellery&traditional Dress's manufacture, 2time we got refusal last was in 21aug,12, we ware going in chalo Gujarat's fair all the time no one looking our docks,we are looking to grow our business,why your visa officer giving us rejection under section 214(B) we just want to know, all the time we try to show them our proof,as they need , please help us, and let us know where we are wrong? your guidance help us lot in future ,
