Nine Dead in Two Separate Accidents on Mumbai-Pune Highway

Mumbai, Aug 1: Two separate mishaps on the Pune-Mumbai highway claimed lives of nine persons late on Sunday July 31.

In one accident, seven persons died when a car collided with an auto-rickshaw. Four occupents of the rickshaw and three from the car were the victims of the accident.

In yet another incident, a couple identified as Jagdeep Merchant and Amraiti hailing from Mumbai were killed when their car rammed against the road divider on their way to Pune.

Police said that the incident took place due to slippery roads.
