Mumbai: Srinivas Jokatte’s Two Books Released in Metro

Mumbai, Jul 29: The book release function of the works of journalist Srinivas Jokatte was held at Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), here recently. Srinivas Jokatte is the sub-editor of ‘Karnataka Malla’, the Kannada daily published Kannada from the metro and editor of ‘Sneha Sambanda’, bulletin of Karnataka Sangh.

‘Devakiya Patragalu,’ the story collection of Jokatte’s that was published by Sri Rama Publications, Mandya, and ‘Mayalokada Olaguttugalu’, collection of columns published by Srinivas Book Publications, Bangalore, was released by Chandrashekar Palettady, editor, Karnataka Malla, and president of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra, and Dr G D Joshi, president of Karnataka Sangh respectively.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr Joshi said that Jokatte entered the literary sphere with his travelogues, and it is owing to his keen observation of people and surroundings that enabled him to author stories which have themes of interest to the reader. 

Palettady said that the struggles of everyday living in the metro had inspired Jokatte to author his books that is a treasure trove for media persons.

Jayalaxmi Srinivas Rao, ‘Akshaya’ monthly bulletin sub-editor Satish Hejamady, ‘Mogaveera’ monthly bulletin editor Ashok Suvarna, and Karnataka Sangh honorary treasurer Omdas Kannangar were present on the dais.

Dr Bharat Kumar Polipu compered the programme.
