Man with Crude Bombs Arrested After Wife Alerts Police

Ahmedabad, Jul 17: Police on Sunday July 17 arrested a man with ten crude bombs, raising suspicions of his links with terrorist outfits.

The arrested, Shahzad of Shah Alam area here was found to be in possession of the bombs, which the police say were of low intensity intended to only intimdate people and not cause much damage. Such bombs can cause death only if they hit a sensitive part of the body, they said.

Incidentally, it was Shahzad's wife who alerted the police.

The country-made bombs were seized from Shahzad's house and all 10 were defused by the police.

Some more people have been detained for questioning in connection with Shahzad's arrest, police said.
