Mangaluru: Celebrities converge at 'Cine Galaxy Coastal Film Awards 2023'

Mangaluru, Jun 5: 'Cine Galaxy Coastal Film Awards 2023' were presented on Sunday June 4, at the Mulki Sundar Ram Shetty Convention Centre, Mulki. The film awards was held by (Sandy's) S Company under the aegis of Sandesh Raj Bangera.

Founder chairman of Karavali Group of Colleges Ganesh Rao, ACP Mahesh Kumar, Director Vijaykumar Kodialbail, Sadananda Poojary, Sooraj Kumar Kalya, Shashidar Kodikal, managing director of Galaxy Entertainment International Limited Shabarish Kodical, Gautham Kodical, Usha Bhandary, Gautham Jain, Prajwala Shashidhar, Darshan Jain from Ace Promoters, Sushanth Poojary, Ronald Martis, Prakash Shetty, Hariprasad Rai were among the chief guests present at the award ceremony.

Actress Harshika Poonacha, managing director of Daijiworld Media Network Private Limited Walter Nandalike, director Dr Devdas Kapikad, Sharmila Kapikad, actor Naveen D Padil, Arjun Kapikad and others presented the awards to the winners.

During the awards function, there were some amazing dance performances led by Rahul Amin, Gaana Bhat, Soujanya Hegde, Swaraj Shetty, Manju Rai, Wencita Dias, Kishore Aman Shetty, Kaushik Suvarna, Asthik Shetty, Prashanth Poojary, Christina George, Chaithra Shetty, Swathi Shetty, Advika Shetty, Aisiri Jain, Shubha Kiran Mani along with Sizzling Guyz and MV Space Dance Group.

Medley songs were performed by Rakesh Dilse, Prakash Mahadevan and Roopa Prakash.

Meanwhile, Tulu movie ‘Pulimunchi’ directed by Trishool Shetty was promoted. The poster of Tulu movie ‘Kankanadi’ directed by Trishool Shetty was also released. The poster of ‘Tthudarr’ directed by Elton Mascarenhas and Tejesh Poojary was released. Trailer of the Kannada movie ‘Bera’ directed by Vinu Balanja was unveiled. The teaser of the Tulu movie 'Circus' was unveiled. Teaser was unveiled for the Tulu movie ‘Yan Superstar’.

Sharmila Amin and RJ Anurag compered the awards ceremony, while Chaithra Kalladka and VJ Madhuraj compered the red carpet event.

The films for the year 2020 and 2022 competed for the awards. The films released on OTT were not considered. Daijiworld TV 24x7 was the media partner of the event.

The award was presented in 32 categories.

Best music director: Srujan Kumar Thonse - Raj Sounds & Lights

Best playback singer Male: Arjun Kapikad - Abatara

Best debut actress: Gaana Bhat - Abatara

Best in comic role male: Aravid Bolar - English

Best comic supporting role female: Chaitra Shetty - Raj Sounds & Lights
