Mangaluru, Jun 1: A gang assaulted three male students who were in the company of three female students on an outing at Ullal beach.

The incident took place at Someshwar sea shore, Ullal police station limits in the evening on Thursday June 1.

Students hailing from Kerala from private institutions had come to the beach for an outing. A gang which observed that three boys belonged to a particular community followed them and assaulted them near the sea shore. The three boys who were injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte.

Locals informed the police that the remaining three female students returned to their hometown. Ullal police arranged tight security at Someshwar sea shore.

Police said that the department’s 112 vehicle reached the spot and shifted the victims to hospital. An FIR is being registered based on the complaint. The accused are absconding at present. Two teams have been formed to secure the accused persons.
