Bengaluru, May 28: The allocation of portfolios to all the ministers will be done shortly, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said urging all the ministers and party workers to serve the people and solve their problems immediately.

Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru on Sunday, May 28, he said the goal of all ministers and Congress leaders in the State is to win at least 20 out of the 28 Lok Sabha seats as a ‘’gift’’ to the party high command in the ensuing elections in 2024.

Claiming that the Congress party has completed the task of forming the new government and constituting the entire State Cabinet within a fortnight of completing the election process and the allocation of portfolios will also be done forthwith.

"It is the duty of all ministers and Congress legislators to ensure that the message of the Congress Guarantees must reach the people. We should ensure that there is no scope for corruption unlike the previous BJP rule, when corruption and 40% commission were rampant,’’ he said.

Siddaramaiah said the people have rejected the corrupt BJP rule and given an absolute majority to the Congress with a lot of hope and expectations. "We have to live up to their expectations and deliver results. The practice of forcing people to travel all the way to Bengaluru to settle minor issues must be put an end to. We should ensure that the government works for the people,’’ he said.
