Mumbai, Jul 11: Devotees of the Jarandaya temple deity, Haripade who are settled in the metro held a special meeting at Swami Nithyananda auditorium, Sion (East) here on Sunday July 10.

Managind trustee Nalyaguttu Guttinar Bhoja Shetty explained the traditions and customs followed at Jarandaya temple over the centuries and stressed on the need to form a Mumbai committee to mobile funds in aid of temple renovation.

Entrepreneur Babu N Shetty presided over the meeting.

Bhujanga Shetty offered information on the role of Mumbai committee.

A committee was formed with Attur Babu N Shetty as honorary president, Bhujanga M Shetty as president, Damodar D Shetty, Jaya Shetty and Padmanabha Shetty as vice-presidents, Nalyaguttu Prakash T Shetty as honorary secretary, Navin Shetty as treasurer, Ashok Achary as joint secretary and Padmanabha Kotian and Devdas Kulal as joint treasurers.
