Bantwal, Apr 30: "There is a danger to the country from fanatics and fascists. BJP is talking about one country, one party, one leadership. This is a dangerous prediction for democracy. Therefore, like-minded people should face the election as one," Congress candidate and former minister B Ramanatha Rai said.

Speaking at the CPI workers convention held here, he said, "There is a lot in common with the ideology of the Left and Congress. He said on this occasion that there is a history of the government being run by the Congress and the left wing parties together."

CPI Taluk Secretary Suresh Kumar said that Ramanath Rai has made Bantwal assembly constituency a model constituency in the state. "We also have the responsibility to win them over. Thus, CPI will support Congress in Bantwala in this election," he said.

CPI District secretary V Kukyan presided. AYIF president Premanath K, Mahila Federation president Bharati Prashant and others were present.
