Mumbai: Model Co-op Bank felicitates  meritorious children of its shareholders

Mumbai, Apr 17: Model Co-op Bank Ltd organized the academic excellence award function for meritorious children of its shareholders for the academic year 2021-22 at Xavier Institute of Engineering, Mahim on Saturday, April 15.

Fr (Dr) John Rose, director and associate professor in Information Technology at Xavier Institute of Engineering, Mahim was the chief guest of the programme. Fr Rose, along with chairman Albert W D’Souza presented the awards to the students. 

It is a notable initiative of the bank to acknowledge the hard work, perseverance and precision of the children of its shareholders. This is the reason ‘Model Co-operative Bank Ltd.’ organizes award ceremony every year to boost the students. Prestigious mementos, cash prizes and certificates of recognition were awarded to the students. It was an extremely proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being appreciated for all their efforts. Chairman, Albert W D’Souza, welcomed the gathering and congratulated the meritorious students.

Osden A Fonseca, general manager & CEO, introduced the chief guest to the audience. The chief guest, Fr (Dr) John Rose, SJ, in his address, encouraged the students to invest in higher education.

Founder chairman John D’Silva, also addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to take on leadership and entrepreneurial roles and also consider joining civil and armed services.

Director Thomas D Lobo addressed gathering and advised the students to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Directors Adv Fiona Nazareth,  Asha D’Souza, Abraham Clement Lobo, & Sanjay Shinde, also attended the programme.

Additional general manager, Zenon D’Cruz and assistant general manager Jude D’Silva were also present.

Additional general manager, Zenon D’Cruz proposed a vote of thanks.

The programme concluded with singing of the national anthem.
