Dubai: Karaval Milan Invites Writers' Contributions for 'Kutam' Anniversary Issue

Dubai, Jul 4: 'Karaval Milan', Dubai, an association of Kallianpur and Kundapur deanery parishioners residing in the UAE, has invited writers, especially those from Kallianpur and Kundapur deaneries, to send in their articles for the special issue of 'Kutam' Konkani weekly published from Mumbai.

The special issue will mark the 12th anniversary of the association and will be inaugurated during the Feast of Nativity celebration by Karaval Milan. The weekly is published under the able leadership of Henry D Paula and very popular.

The members of the editorial committee of this special issue are trying their best to give the best blend of literature to the readers under the guidance of Eric D'Souza, president, Karaval Milan, and Rony Byndoor, well-known singer and writer from Dubai, will be the honorary editor of this special issue.

The articles may be sent directly to Kutam or any of the committee members immediately. As usual the proceedings will go to noble causes and Karaval Milan is requesting its well-wishers, supporters, and donors to extend their generous hands.

Karaval Milan has organized various programmes not only in Dubai but also in Mangalore in the 12 years of its existence. Introducing the famous  Sandhesha Art Foundation to the Dubai audience with their mesmerizing classical dance programme, the record crowd at New Year Wilfy Nite in Brahmavar, and a one-day seminar 'Galphanthlin Savalan Ani Navalan' for the youth of Kundapur and Kallianpur deaneries are some of the golden feathers in Karaval Milan's cap.

All income generated through these programmes have been utilized for needy people from both deaneries. Karaval Milan has extended its helping hand to Christa Jyothi Children's Home, a place for orphans and underprivileged children at Kolalgiri near Udupi, as well as a classroom for Kundapur Church School besides extending its helping hands to Konkani literature.
