Seven Die as Roof Collapses in Pakistan Village


Islamabad, Jul 3 (IANS): At least seven people, including a woman and two children, died when the roof of an old house caved-in Sunday in a Pakistani village, Online news agency reported.

The rooftop of the old mud house Jalo Pind in Taqi Purra Chappa area near Lahore was seeping due to intermittent the rain. It was being repaired by one Muhammad Aslam's family just when it caved in due to the weight.

Aslam's mother (70), two daughters aged two-and-a half years and six months and the others died instantly. His wife and two sisters were rushed to hospital.
