Lahore Courts Dispose of 96,634 Cases in Five Months


 

Islamabad, Jul 3 (IANS): Pakistan is attempting to clear long-pending cases and as part of this effort, Lahore' sessions and civil courts have disposed of 96,634 cases between January and May.

All the courts at the moment are doing their best to speed up disposal of cases, making sure full justice was done in each case following the guidelines of the National Judicial Policy and instructions of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Lahore High Court Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Daily Times quoted Lahore High Court Registrar Sohail Nasir as saying.

Talking to reporters at the Lahore High Court Library, Nasir said that Justice Ijaz Chaudhry was committed to eradicate corruption from the lower judiciary and efforts were on in this regard.
