Rave Party: Hotel Mount View Chief Officer Arrested

Mumbai, Jul 1: Last Sunday's rave party in Raigad, which ended with the detaining of about 300 youths including 60 young girls from well-to-do families, had sent shockwaves around Maharashtra.

The Raigad police arrested chief operating officer of Hotel Mount View, 23-year-old Aparajit Mittal on Friday, July 1.

Soon after last Sunday's raid on Hotel Mount View at Khalapur, off the Mumbai - Pune Expressway in Raigad district, five people were arrested. Ironically, the raid took place on world anti-narcotics day, and inspector Anil Jadhav of Mumbai's Anti-Narcotics Cell who was reportedly present during the party was also arrested.

Jadhav was suspended from service soon after the arrest, pending enquiry.

The five accused, who were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act were remanded in police custody till July 2.

Noted bollywood actor Vinod Khanna's son Sakshi Khanna was one among the detained, but police sources informed that all the youths detained were released after medical examination.
