Grover Murder: Maria Susairaj Walks Free

Daijiworld Media Network

Mumbai, Jul 1: The Mumbai session court on Friday July 1 awarded a three-year jail term to Kannada film actor Susairaj in Neeraj Grover's murder case. But as she has already served three years in jail, she can now walk free.

The verdict was as widely expected, and her lawyer had on June 30 told the media that the maximum sentence Maria could get is three years.

A section of the media feels that Maria has been let off lightly, and that she deserves a more stringent punishment.

Grover's father, who expressed his disappointment over the verdict yesterday said that he has lost faith in the judicial sytem.

Today, speaking to reporters he further said the verdict was a 'joke'. "People know that such a big crime has been committed by Maria and Jerome. Both are equally responsible for the crime and should be given equal punishment," he said.

He also said that he would challenge the verdict in the high court. "Maria is the prime suspect, Jerome alone cannot have committed the crime as it had happened in Maria's flat."

Meantime, Jerome has been awarded 10 year jail term for the same case.

This is absolutely a preplanned murder, she should be hanged for this crime because it was a preplanned murder. Big Boss and Film industry should not encourage her for any role in serial or films, either in Karnataka or in any other place in India. She is the main culprit because murder took place at her residence and she called her boy friend from Kouchi to carry out the murder.

Lawyers have perverted the entire truth for their own benefit. Maria Susairaj must be re-arrested and case must be given to competent authorities. Everyone must be opposed to the Big Boss and film industry, who are offering roles to murder Maria and everyone must hate her any kind of serials and films.

Both of them deserve death penalty Murder may be on the spur of moment but chopping the body into three hundred pieces is some thing which shows the cruelty built in these two subhuman beings

Trial court has erred seriously and has taken the law in school manner I am sure higher judiciary will bring justice which is necessary to deter the people from similar crimes. Death and no less penalty will suffice.  Bollywood should also refrain from giving fame to this animal

Please do not comment on media reports. Judge can convict the accused on the basis of evidence on record. One person is killed means any order of conviction cannot be passed. It is sad theat Neerraj is any more.Is it necessary for him to live with unmarried girl. All the things takes place in a fit of anger. Character is more important to everybody. If the character is losed everything is losed. Neraj's father might have been not satisfied with the order of the Court. It is the duty of prosecution to prove the case of criminal consiracy, preperation for murder and motive. Otherwise it wont amount to murder. It amounts to murder is committed without the intention. This only legal experts understand.

In Grover murder case, Grover's father is absolutely right. Such a big crime has been committed by Maria and Jerome.

In this case, both has to be given minimum 14 years punishment.  This is really sad and mockery of judiciary - Maria is walking free as she had already served 3 yrs jail and Jerome will be free within 7 yrs.

How can the murderer will have a strong message. Otherwise the victims will use negative method in order to avenge the justice.
