Dammam, Jun 26: DKSC Dammam zonal committee held its annual general body meeting recently at Isthira Halah here.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Quran and prayer by Al Haji Ibrahim Furqani. In his inaugural speech Ibrahim Furqani briefed the importance of the holy month in Islam and urged all DKSC office-bearers to serve the community hoping for rewards only from Almighty.
Welcoming the gathering general secretary Abdul Hameed Ullala exhorted everyone to follow the Ulemas and elders. He also mentioned sahabas who led successful lives by following Prophet Muhammed.
The annual general body meeting was held to apprise members on the current activities and future plans of DKSC and to select new office-bearers for the year 2011-12. The meeting was attended by all office-bearers and members of the seven working units in the zone.
Zonal president of DKSC Hathim Kuloor in his address thanked everyone for their help and support in the past year and urged the members to join executive committee for the betterment of DKSC and for fulfilling dreams of the committee. He specially thanked the sponsors and committee members who worked hard to make ‘Family Mulaqath’, which was held in Hafr Albatin and Dammam a grand success.
The annual report and financial report for the year 2010–2011 was presented by secretary Ismail Katipalla. Treasurer Anwar Goodinabali presented Auditors report.
Election commissioner for the committee election Kamaruddin Goodinabali spoke on leader ship qualities, commitments and how to polish leadership skill.
General secretary Hameed Ullala dissolved the existing committee and Kamaruddin conducted thee lection. The new committee of 42 members was formed for the year 2011-2012. The office bearers were unanimously elected by members of the committee.
