Mangaluru, Mar 26: Vedamoorthi Sri Harinarayana Dasa Asranna, priest of Sri Kshethra Kateel, inaugurated the 'Medic Health Centre Multi-Specialty Clinic', a unit of MJ Developers, a day care clinic in Kinnigoli on Sunday, March 26.
Fr Faustine Lobo, the Parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Church in Kinnigoli, blessed the Medic healthcare multi-specialty clinic.
Speaking at the occasion, Vedamoorthi Sri Harinarayana Dasa Asranna said, "Kinnigoli is a developed place and there was a need for such a health centre in this region. The Medic Health Centre is one such centre that provides all kinds of facilities with experienced doctors under one roof."
MLA Umanath Kotian said, "Today people suffer from various diseases due to water, food, and many more such as kidney problems, cancer. It takes a lot of money for treatment in private hospitals and people need to travel to Mangaluru. The Medic Health Centre at Kinnigoli will help the people around Kinnigoli with several facilities. It avoids and saves time to visit Mangaluru. The Medic Health Centre should function on humanitarian basis not on a business perspective."
KPCC general secretary Mithun Rai said, "The private hospitals in Mangaluru are known for rendering selfless service in healthcare, so the Medic Health Centre will provide such selfless services to the people in Kinnigoli. I wish that people who visit the Medic Health Centre should be cured."
Director of Mangala Hospital and Mangala Kidney Foundation, Dr Ganapathi P Bhat said, "Whoever visits the Medic Health Centre should be cured, stay healthy, and happy."
Kateeb MJM Kinnigoli Janab Abdul Latheef Saquafi said, "When you do selfless service, it will give a lot of happiness. The Medic Health Centre will provide selfless service to the people in Kinnigoli."
Senior Journalist Sharath Shetty spoke about the journey of Director Maxim Serrao in setting up the Medic Health Centre.
Dr Shilpa K, chief medical officer of Medic Health Centre multi-specialty clinic, said, "There will be six experienced visiting doctors at the Medic Health Centre multi-specialty clinic and also has 12-15 staff at the clinic."
Meanwhile, a blood donation camp and health check were organized by Medic Health Care. Director Maxim Serrao's mother, Mary Serrao, unveiled the name of Medic Health Care, while his children released balloons to mark the grand opening of Medic Health Care.
Director of Medic Health Centre multi-specialty clinic, Maxim Serrao, proposed the vote of thanks, and Manoj Fernandes compered the event.
Wife of Maxim Serrao, Jacintha Serrao, Children Aanet Serrao, Aaron Serrao, Andrian Serrao, sister of Maxim Serrao, Nancy Pais, were also present.
