UAE Launches Health Education Booths


Ajman (UAE), June 24 (IANS/WAM) The UAE health ministry will set up health awareness booths at all its facilities across the country, it was announced Thursday.

The Health Education Corner initiative is being launched in collaboration with Julphar pharmaceuticals company.

UAE Health Minister Hanif Hassan Ali, inaugurating an education booth here Thursday, said: "The prevention of diseases requires a societal awareness, following the correct healthy lifestyles and behaviours and avoiding harmful habits such as smoking."

He lauded the public-private partnership to provide the best services in the health sector.

The initiative will be introduced at all facilities of the UAE health ministry nationwide as part of its efforts to raise health awareness among the community about different diseases.
