Doha: Handover ceremony to newly elected body held at Indian Cultural Centre

Doha, Mar 23: In recently concluded apex body elections for Indian Cultural Centre, A P Manikanthan was elected as president. On March 15, a handing over ceremony was organized and current apex body team handed over the reins to new committee.

Xavier Dhanraj, 1st secretary, coordinating officer of Embassy of India was chief guest of the evening. Krishna Kumar Bandhakavi ICC general secretary was steering the handing over ceremony.

Krishna Kumar indicated that along with so many first time events conducted by outgoing committee under P N Babu Rajan leadership with overwhelming support and attendance. Its another first to credit, ICC Ashoka hall was full and many attendees were standing to witness the handover ceremony, speaks volumes about outgoing as well as incoming committees.

PN BabuRajan, in his valedictory message, thanked HE, Deepak Mittal, ambassador of India, Xavier Dhanraj, coordinating officer ICC for their unconditional support and guidance. Two years of success of the committee was because of excellent response from Indian Community, associated organizations and supporting sponsors.

Xavier Dhanraj, coordinating officer, Embassy of India expressed his utmost satisfaction about the activities carried by the outgoing committee and commitment of each member of the team to make sure they could present it better than expectation of anyone. Under the leadership and guidance of president Babuji was creative, motivating, and taking along all the Indian community is hallmark of his ability as a leader.

Arunkumar, with whose generosity in sponsoring one ICC employee Manoj by Desertline was presented a memento by ICC president P N Babu Rajan are taken of appreciation.

As part of Handing over P N Babu Rajan handedover the two year financial statements, two AGM MoMs and two year activity report to the incoming president A P Manikanthan and team.

Shweta Koshti presented the vote of thanks and thanked each one who were reposnsible for the success of the outgoing committee and who were all present for the ceremony.
