Mumbai Police Claim Breakthrough in J Dey Murder Case

Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (SP)

Mumbai, Jun 21: It is reliably learnt that the Mumbai police have gained access to J Dey's email communications, which can help them to gain significant momentum in the investigation relating to the journalist’s murder.

One of the police officers involved with the investigation revealed that Dey’s inbox contains a large number of emails, and that it may take some time to read all of them, as every email has to be verified in detail. The emails from both his personal computer and the office computer are being analysed with data. Apart from emails, access to his personal dairy has also been gained, it is learnt.

The police officer in question further said that J Dey was assisting one of the Mumbai-based producers in writing a script for a Bollywood film proposed to be based on the goings on in the underworld.

In the meantime, Mumbai police have to present a status report relating to the ongoing investigation in Mumbai High Court today.

The inability of the Mumbai police in finding any leads in the case has drawn lot of flak from all quarters, and question marks are being raised about their efficiency and commitment in the case. So far, no one has been arrested by the police in the case, although it is almost ten days since J Dey was killed in broad daylight, the citizens point out.
