Mumbai: Bharat Co-op Bank Opens 39th Branch at Suburban Jogeshwari (E)

Mumbai, Jun 20: The 39th branch of Bharat Bank (Mumbai) Limited, a multi-state scheduled bank was inaugurated at Dheenbai Co-operative Housing Society, Caves Road, Jogeshwari (East) here on Monday June 20.

Speaking on the occasion, Bharat Co-operative Bank former chairman and metro-based Billavar Association president Jaya C Suvarna said that the bank has been on progressive path due to large customer base of lower income group who avail banking facilities.  The selfless service of board of directors and determined efforts contributed for the bank to be reckoned as one among leading co-operative bank in the country. The bank has plans to open its branches all over the country, said Jaya C Suvarna.

The bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian and building owner Chaganbai inaugurated the the Bharat Co-operative Bank branch here.

Deputy chairman lawyer Rohini J Salian offered motion for key banking facility. The director Pushpalata N Salian inaugurated the locker facility.  The managing director and chief eecutive officer Bhaskar K Amin inaugurated the other banking facilities.

Vidwan K Sadashiv Shanti performed the Vedic celebrations including Satyanarayan puja at the newly-opened branch.

Vasudev R Kotian said that the bank is succour of small investors where they get personalised customer care.  The customers trust and loyalty has been contributing for the Bank’s success.

The Bank’s CEO Bhaskar K Amin said that RBI has granted permission to open 11 new branches, while there are plans to open branches in Peenya Industrial Estate, Bangalore, Puttur, Bantwal, Karkala, Moodbidri and Kundapura in Karnataka, Pimpri – Chinchwad in Pune in Maharashtra, besides in suburban Kandivali (East), central suburban Thane and Kalwa.  RBI has also granted permission to open branches in 8 districts of Gujarat. The Board of Directors are trying to get the approval from RBI to open branches across the country, said Bhaskar K Amin.

The Bank directors M B Kukyan, Y Nagesh, L V Amin, Jyoti K Suvarna, M B Sanil, Mohan G Poojary, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Shankar D Poojary, Jagannat V Kotian, N Nityanand, Bhaskar M Salian, Ratan Umesh Sanil, Rohit M Suvarna, and Jaya A Kotian were present at the occasion.

Sai Care managing director Surendra A Poojary, entrepreneur H Babu Poojary, K Ramachandran, Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, Bharat C Rathod, S K Salian, Ashwajit Hejamady, Mukesh Desai, Suresh Suvarna, Jayaprasad Poojary, social worker Jayant K Shetty, Dayanand Poojary Varanga, Anand P Shetty, Muddu C Suvarna, Mahabala Poojary, Sadanand Amin, N M Sanil and Bank’s customers were also present.

The Bank’s chief general managers Chandrashekar R Mulky and Anil Kumar R Amin, deputy general manager Professor Shekar Poojary, assistant general manager Vivek S Shanbagh, Shobha Dayanand, Nityanand D Kotian, officers and bank staff were present at the occasion.

Sukhanand M and Smita Kukyan couple participated in puja celebrations.

The branch manager Vasant S Salian welcomed the gathering.  The deputy branch manager Kiran Kumar B Amin proposed the vote of thanks
