Mangaluru: House catches fire due to electrical short circuit, Rs five lac worth goods damaged

Mangaluru, Mar 10: Rs five lac worth household goods were gutted as a house caught fire at Karamogaru Hosamane under Gurupur gram panchayat limits.

The house belonged to Devanandini Marla. The house caught fire at around 9 am when no one was in the house. Neighbours saw smoke bellowing out of the roof of house. They informed gram panchayat members as well as fire service personnel.

Gram panchayat president Yashawanth Kumar Shetty, Mescom personnel and fire service personnel put off the fire.

It is said that electrical short circuit caused the fire.
