Dubai : Hotel Encounter Costs Unmarried Couple a Year in Prison

Dubai, Jun 18 (The National): A one-night stand earned a man and a woman a year in prison yesterday for having consensual sex. The Dubai Court of Misdemeanours also sentenced the man to an extra month for drinking alcohol.

MA, 44, from Morocco and SS, a 29-year-old Russian woman, met at a bar in a five-star hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road in April last year.

The pair went to MA's apartment and had sex twice, but later SS fell from the room's first-floor window.

She suffered cuts and bruises and was put in a taxi by MA but the cab driver was suspicious and flagged down a police car.

Santosh-Udupi. When someone reports something to Police, they will definitely go as per law and every process becomes legal. It happened just because of the cab driver.
